ok it bogs down hard when going from a stop to start going again and also it doesnt idle down it likes to stay at 3 grand and when it idles down after awhile it will be fine for a second then die. i took it in and they said the carns are fine but theres an ait leak. and its running on 2 of the 4 cylinders. how can i fix this myself?? when im just riding like 15mph or higher it seems pretty good.

Have to find the air leak first. While it's running spray carb cleaner around the intake rubbers and on the carbs. When the idle changes RPM you found the leak. be warned the carbs will need to come off and they ain't at all fun or easy on a V-4.

It can harm the engine. When a bike as an air leak it runs lean, meaning it's not getting enough fuel. A lean running engine also will run hot and is prone to detonation or pinging, which can damage pistons, rings, exaust valves, etc. It would be a good idea to not run it much until you get it fixed.

I don't blame ya one litle bit for not wanting to tackle it yourself. They are a pain in the ass to remove and replace, let alone anything else.

Getting them off and back on again isn't as difficult as you might think ;)

And here's the two aprt vid I did of installing the carbs:

Make sure you have the service or shop manual before you tear into the carbs otherwise, youw on't have the specs you need.
