My advice for you....Go to the motorcycle dealership (other than Harley) closest to your home. Tell them how much you want to spend. They will show you the models they have available in that price range. Do not consider a used motorcycle that doesn't come with a full guarantee. You may want to test drive several units before deciding what to buy. Some dealers might provide training and safety courses that you might want to consider. Good luck and keep us informed.

Maico had good advice. Buy one big enough with a good seat. My Honda days were good after the seat got replaced. I buy from the paper and find better deals there but I know what to look for. Good luck.

I just posted this same thing in another thread - you might consider a C50T Suzuki. They have a great reputation, are well equipped for getting away, and are around $7,600 in our area. But, prices are different in different markets, so you'll have to check the price there. I have a C90T, which is the same bike with a bigger engine. I've ridden it a little over 400 miles in one day and never had a problem with saddle sores or cramped legs. Just a suggestion.
