I saw one at the dealer the other day and feel it is the one for me.
Affordable, cafe style racer, it had the old school paint scheme w/the orange and black. Just cool all around. Anyone have one of these ??

Opps meant the 883R. Sorry bout that.

883 is a tried and proven design. This is a very good bike in my opinion. If its what you want, and what you like, it doesn't matter what anyone else thinks. Get one, you will have the time of your life on it. Besides, people who badmouth sportsters, usually don't even have a bike!

Yeah me too, the issue is I am writing this check out of my everyday checking acct so that diff of 1K or so makes a little diff. Remember this is my first bike in a longggggggggggg time so I am taking the KISS method :)

Not to mention that they haven't even confirmed production yet.

I think they're great bikes. It has been around a long time, and it handles well – at least the few I have ridden handled well. I found them 'responsive.' I think I may know the color combo you're referring to: the gas tank is solid black with a couple of orange stripes sweeping back. That's a nice look on that design – and as you say, it's old school – so how can you go wrong. Buy – ride it!

If Harley wants to sell me a bike, they'll need to bring back the Sprint.

Ahhhh the Sprint.....one of my first bikes was a 350. Bright orange with black trim....had "Lil' Harley Bitch" painted on the tank sides. I can remember being in a big yank to get down the mountain on hwy. 4 in the Sierra's on my way to Angeles Camp, CA. when on of the states finest troopers pulled me over. He claimed he'd been chasing me for the last 30 odd miles or so with all the lights, bells and whistles going in the triple digits. Had I not slowed down to the 25mph speed zones through the last four towns, he probably would have never cought up to me. Turns out, after he I.D.d me, we were neighbors just a couple doors down from one another. He lighten the ticket to a 72 in a 55 and not long after I sold the Ol' Sprint and picked up an old Triumph TT bike.
Now that I think about it, I still have the tool box from that ol' Sprint.
