Here are some links to pics of an awesome RS125 replica racer built by Georgia-Carolina Vintage Cycles, and painted (yes its all paint) by me. All candy and pearl colors with no decals at all.

The photos are too big to post here...my computer is so slow it would take me more than a half hour to view those pics...I just have dial-up.

I am going to get a kid to help me resize these pics. Unfortunately when I try, they won't load on the site. I am not very computer savy, but I'm trying

I can host these for you, dude. It will automatically resize them so that they are easier for others to view. ;) Give me a few minutes to read some of the other threads and then I will knock it out for ya.

I am guessing that there is a size limitation on this site that forces the [img] tag to turn into hyperlinks? Here are the pics in a more manageable size:

This dude is going to be doing some painting for me; awesome work.

I married someones sister twice, I'm not ready for strike 3 just yet. I must not be the marrying type, I'll just stick to renting them for now.

Awesome bike - and I love the green paint parts - sort of a metallic emerald green. Very attractive. nicely done - thanks for sharing!

I'm sure you saw at least one critique coming at you... on the tank, your tape ridge lines need to be bufferred out. Nothing too rash, but blunt and to the point. Looks like everywhere else came out really smooth. The bike looks flat out great, just had to comment on the ridge lines. If you do buff, remember that a white background requires you to be VERY soft and patient, perhaps multiple gentle gentle spins, so the green and white don't blend or bleed.
If you weren't clear across the country from me, I'd ask if you'd be interested in coming up with a paint scheme and applying it to my 78 CX-500 cruiser that I just haven't been inspired to compose just yet. I "rescued" it last summer from a guy's backyard for $50.00. It'd sat for about 8 years, uncovered with gas and oil in it. The carbs, choke and throttle cables were totally frozen, and the seat was trashed. Cleaned it up 100%, changed the tank, cables, and fluids, stitched a new seat, and got all the body parts replaced. She looks and runs great, but needs a new coat of paint, and I just can't decide what I want the finished product to look like yet!

Not that I mind a critic, but the lines have been buffed out. There is more clear on that little bike than the average car. The red and green are real candies and the white and black are custom tri-coat pearls. Which create thicker paint lines. Don't know why the lines appear this way in pics, but this one needs to be seen in person to really see it. I can see on the stripes a darker ridge line in the pics that doesn't exist on the bike in person, its just the way the camera is picking up the reflected light. Anywhere you touch it, it is perfectly smooth, you can't feel a paint line anywhere.
But being a custom painter, I know anything hand-made will have some minor flaws. There are two on this bike I know of, they are so minor the owner has only been able to find one of them. Which by the way doesn't bother him at all.
If you see this in person it looks like everything is under a piece of glass.

Amazing looking motorcycle ...

@BeyondThePaintInc (http://www.motorcycleforum.com/member.php?u=2926): Please use this formula

[ i m g width= 600 height= 800 ] link [ i m g ] >PLEASE TYPE THAT WITHOUT SPACE

Using this, the forum would automatically resize those pics to a much appriopriate size.

I am still computer illiterate, but i have been able to resize my pics on photobucket. Can I still make the ones on this post smaller? They were posted long ago, and I can't edit them. At least I can now post smaller, more manageable pics.

Hi AdrenalineRider,
That doesn't change the file size, it only attempts to compress the viewed image, which means that the image will distort and still take just as long to load. But if you want to just make the picture fit in the screen then that is a possible last-try fix. :)

Since you can't edit your original post, the only way to change them at this point is to overwrite the images on your website with smaller images that have the same exact name, sitting in the same exact directory.

To simplify, here is an example:

castrol125b.JPG is sitting inside of the /images folder at beyondthepaint.com
the image is 1632x1224, which is huge.
resize it to something more manageable, like 600 pixels wide.
upload the image into the /images folder again, using the same name (in other words, overwrite the large file with the smaller one)
make sure you keep your original files handy though, it never hurts to keep the large files on your machine in case you want to reference them later.
remember, you also have your images uploaded at my website, so you can just use the links that my site provides for you and then you can just bypass all of the above, although that won't fix the images in your first post of this thread.

the owner took the Castrol bike (among others) to the "Riding Into History" bike show in St. Augustine Fl. this past weekend. Our little 125 took 1st in the modern competion class. We will be back next year with even better stuff.

That is one beautiful bike. Post a picture of it with someone next to the bike to provide scale. I think some people will trip out when they see how tiny the RS125's are.

Very cool. I'd walk right past the latest West Coast Choppers turd just to see this thing. Beautiful.

Actually, it does live in a glass case. The owner retired the bike from racing, had it fully restored, had all the aluminum polished, and the paint job is a tribute to Colin Edwards. We took different Colin Edwards paint schemes to come up with this one. It now lives in a trophy case in the owners house.

And yes, everything including the sponsor logos on the bottom is painted on.

that's a gorgeous bike, and truly a masterpiece for not using any stickers (so you get +5 real-manliness points). i think all it needs now is about 600 more cc's for some serious sleeper bike action.

Ive always wanted a 125 race replica. I love the Aprilla Repsol replica, but this one is sweet. Wish I had the money.

Would be nice if it was street legal.

holy zombie thread, batman!!!

chain is too tight for actual racing purposes, though.
