I recently decided to do and engine rebuild on my yamaha DT50 as my Main Bearings went. All went very well, but i noticed dirt inside of the engine so decided to take the gears out and clen underneath them.

I then realised this wasn't such a good idea and struggles putting the gears back into the correct positions.

So after a lot of time i had the gears back in and the engine back together. I then managed to start it up!!!

Sounds much better, BUT it stays in neutral oopss.....

Is there anybody that know a good guide on how to correctly put the gears in place???

Cheers
Jacob

Pick yourself up a manual for it. In there it will tell you how to put the gears back in. Something sounds amiss. Sorry I can't help ya more.

Is it maybe the gear change shaft instead of the gears? And is the chain on? On my AT3, you couldn't get it out of neutral if the chain wasn't on, still not sure why.
