RPM's ?

Hello,
I recently bought a 1998 CBR600 F3, and I have never had a bike before. I was just wondering, what rpm ranges should i keep the bike in? I saw that it went all the way to 14000+ and was astonished. As of right now, i keep it around 6-7 thousand. Any help? Thank you!

There are no ideal RPM ranges, so to speak. It all depends on you. If you're like me, then you want to keep the revs as high as possible so that in the event you need to get out of a sticky situation, a single downshift is enough to boogy outta there.

On the other hand, you may want to minimize vibrations or loud engine noise. In that case, you may need a lower cruising RPM.
