Just got home with this little street bike in the back of my Tracker. I paid $50.00 for a 1973 Honda CB175 in fairly decent shape. A month or so ago I bought one of those Chinese mini-choppers with the knock-off Honda engine but the rear wheel is way too small for the street so I put it in the living room for decoration & started looking for a Honda street bike to get the swing arm & rear wheel. This is going to be a moderate reconstruction & I'll be taking photos & writing an article.

I know a lot of bikers scoff at small bikes but I've always liked them. I actually drag raced a Honda 175 back in the 70's that was just like this one I bought. They are a great machine with lots of speed. -MS

Sounds like a fun project.

This forum was switched off somehow nearly two years ago. Now it's back.

And...so what's up with the Honda 175? Did you give it the boot for that moped?

Yeah, man....I had one of those, it was a great little bike! :) It was a breeze to work on, with the horizontal-split cases....just flip the engine over and pull off the bottom case. :D

Ha Ha...Sittin side by side in the shop. I did buy an ignition switch & new battery for the 175 but have yet to put a wrench to it. Have yet to touch the Girelli. Between my job & this place I'm barely gettin any riding in. Me n CB750F are supposed to do a cruise together here before it starts spittin snow:)

Tell you what, give me a couple weeks until Ma gets back in order after having the new one and I'll ride down. I haven't been riding much lately either.
