Hi there,

I am working on Keihin CV40 carbs - helping friends with their Evo carbs (overhaul) and Shovel ditto (conversion). Many of these have a perforated or a misaligned diaphragm that need to be replaced. I have tried to find a supplier of the rubber diahragm but to no avail. Can anyone give me a clue where to find one? I do not want to buy the lot (with the throttle attached to it) - my dealer sells these for $115! Appreciating any comment!:)

Find an independant shop, the dealerships are only interested in selling shirts and stuff anymore..

Yeah, you are right, Mute, that is exactly what I have figured out. But please help me, where do I find that kind of shop?

Look in your local yellow pages of your phone book, under motorcycles-repair. If you dont find anything, dont be afraid to approach someone else on a harley and ask em if they know of a good indy shop, indy being a shop that works on Harleys but isnt a liscensed HD dealer. 9 times outta 10 they will do better for ya than a dealership anyway..
