Hello All,
I'm very new to this forum, (browsed around and found you guys).

I own a 2002 Big Dog Mastiff with about 8,000 miles on it and other than oil changes, I know NOTHING about these "little engines"

Yesterday, after the bike has been sitting in my garage for about 2 months I thought let's fire up the scooter and get in a quickie.
After realizing that the battery was dead, I charged such and attemptet to start the bike. It took a while and after it startet up, (and during several tries), the bike startet sputting oil out of the breather filter under the engine. And I'm talkin' quite a bit.
Would anybody know what this means and do I have to put her to sleep now????
Any ideas are greatly apreciated.

Wheres the breather at for the crankcase? in the heads, in the case? anyway, if you find it, make sure it isnt blocked up with something.

Dont shoot her, she has lottsa life left.

Hi Mute,

The breather comes from the crankcase.
I actually posted a picture at the rider report forum.
I started it again yesterday and it didn't leak at all anymore.

Just from sitting a little while. May want to drain the bag and see if there is a little sludge at the bottom. Sounds like some of it may have settled in the motor somewhere and caused a small blockage.

Keep a battery tender on that battery when it is gonna sit for long periods (2 weeks or more) and start it at let it warm up every couple weeks if you arent going to be riding it.
