Hey All. I've had a few bikes, but sold my last one about 5 years ago. I've been shopping for a new cruiser and just haven't found the right one. I like Harley's and the new Victory Kingpins, but recently have been thinking and buying my first bike kit.

I am pretty handy and do alot of wood working in my spare time, but there's not much wood on a bike:) I live in a cold winter climate area and figure this may be a great winter project. My question is, is anyone familiar with some of the dvd sets available? I tried to post the links to 2 of them, but the forum won't let me. One is called "Master Bike Building Tool Box" on 5 dvds and the other is "Chopper Assembly Videos" on 6 dvd's. If their good quality, $100 is nothing I'm sure in the scheme of saving mistakes. I also thought if there good, it's a good way to fully understand what I'm getting into.

Thanks in advance for any input.

Ive not heard anything good bout the dvd sets.

Aint heard a whole lot of good bout kit bikes either, but suppose I would give big bear choppers a look. They have an option where everything is test fit together then broke back down before being sent to you.

Just dont forget, even the kit bikes take a lot of fabrication as you will run into loads of parts that just dont fit together like they should...

If you want some good practice, buy a used metric bike, the older the cheaper, and start with it. Gobs of good experience to be had from em.
