heey folks im 18, pretty fresh on the chopper scene and id like to start a custom build and i was wantin some feedback. Im a shorter rider, about 5'6'' and I wanna build an old schoolish chopper, but im afraid that the specs i waant on my chopperguys frame might be a stretch for me. the one i have in mind is a chopperguys 250 rigid frame, 5 inch stretch and 6 in the downtube...and a 40 degree rake.

Now some tell me i can pull this off allright but not with the semi straight drag bars i wanna run...

Any advice would be greaat...any frame stats if your smaller would be grand too...

thanks

KEEP IT SIMPLE.... THINK ABOUT SAFETY FIRST... do you really need a 5" stretch and 6" in the down tube??? ... do you really need a 40 degree rake??? .... yea MAYBE...... YEA MAYBE you can ride it... MAYBE you can avoid a accident.... and MAYBE you can`t ... but wouldnt you have more fun on somthing you know you can ride and handle???... at your age i think maybe you otta think about building a smaller bobber like indan Larry used to build.. ... but that is only my opinion....
Good Luck

If you'd like to do something original or at least different think about a Yamaha 650 done on a slightly smaller scale than the typical (and boring) big V-twin. Have the engine totally powdered and chromed, do the rake with a girder front, Corbin Gentry King & queen with a wild green & gold metalflake paint.... Hell I like the idea so much I think I'll do it myself.

Chop the Rebel. That bike looks like a chopper already. It would look real cool.
