Hey everyone im new to the bike world and ive bought a 1983 kawasaki kz550 ltd about 4 months ago and have been riding it almost everyday.I thnk its about time for me to move up..i weight around 185lbs..what would be a good bike for me?...thanks

The best thing to do is test ride them. Go with whatever feels comfortable with u and your ridding style. I would suggest going with a 1000cc bike with your lack of experience. A 600 would probaly plenty of power. Most of the newer 600's put a little over 100hp to the ground and they only weigh around 350lbs.

I think you may try the Yamaha FZ6. Easy to handle and I think 600cc should be enough for you.

I've got a pretty good Kawasaki 1000 that's seen plenty of road time. It's a 1978 model. They've got some pretty decent helmets for $40 on ebay.

The 1000cc might be too much for you to handle. I'm surprised any bike before 1990 can still pass an emisions test.

Perhaps a 1985 Honda Interceptor might be a good fit for you!
