I'd really like to check out the new indian, but the closest dealer is over 600 miles away. A bit far for just a peak.

Also there kinda pricy.

That said I've always loved them, and was wondering if there quality deserves the price? For the money it should be a bike I'd love for the rest of my life, or at least the next 20 years plus.

Also I'm a big guy, currently own a 650 vstar and even with forward controls it's a bit cramped. The 650 isn't real short on power despite what some think, but it was made for some one 5'8", not 6'2" and nearly 300 pounds.

How's the ride quality, ect?

Thanks

Kinda pricey, I looked at over a dozen new ones during Bike Week in Daytona and they start at 27K. Rode with some real pretty old ones a few weeks ago on the Blue Ridge. I don't see many around.

Been doing a lot research on the new and old, and basically nothing that major wrong with the Gilroy's, and there's still a few issues with the new ones, primarily mapping for the fuel injection.

Except for the power plus engine, which had the habit of spinning the crank bearing, all the issues with the gilroy bikes are easy to fix. Which is one reason they went belly up, who wants to pay that and have issues that QA should have caught?

I got a 2000 Chief, and am in the middle of fixing the issues, almost done.

I'm going to wait on a new one till I see what Polaris does with them, I figure maybe a 2014 model. I don't see that kind of money without having ABS, cruise control, and a general issue free bike.
