Oh I love these...they look so nice....but I have to wait to get them...until this summer....if I don't gain the weight after surgery...I am getting these for sure!!!
Glad to see they're making more stuff for women. Saw 3 female riders around on the road today. Good luck in the surgery, whatever it may be for.

Oh it is about time that they started making nice fitting clothing for women that ride! I like those slip in armor places too! Wonder if the behind has double material or kevlar...forgot to look ....although the model pic doesn't look like there is much protection there...
Thanks for the well wishes...it is probably because of the amount of time for recouperation....no lifting and you get tired quickly...so I hope I can continue my exercising and yoga not too long after....I also read where you have to decrease your calorie intake due to the metabolism dropping and increase your exercise. I have been adding ginger to my foods, that is supposed to increase your metabolism and there just won't be anything I can do if they say I have to stop exercising for a month....I have decided that when I ride somewhere this summer I am going to take my hikers and add at least 1-2 miles of hiking each day....means I will have to do less distance ....but will get in my extra walking, sight seeing, and photographs too!
That model probably couldn't stand a bike up, but the slip in is nice. Hopefully I'll be getting a new jacket soon, want to get one of those kevlar ones too.
As for surgery, no matter what type it is they'll tell you not to exercise for a certain amount of time, so your metabolism will drop that's for sure. Not that i'll encourage you to not listen to your doctor, but I was suppose to be in a sling for 8 weeks, 2 weeks later I stopped wearing it during the day, 2 weeks after that I stopped all together lol. Always be cautious, but get your diet and exercise habits good now before surgery and once the time comes you'll already be eating healthy and just have to reduce your proportions and it will minimize the stress on your body of not being able to exercise.
I'm sure you'll be itching to go hiking once you finally can. My opinion it's worth the reduced miles. I love the outdoors.

Yeah, I was just saying that tonight about starting the diet program...I reduced the amount I ate at breakfast/lunch today...and will continue it up to the surgery date. I remember too, when I had my shoulder surgery and they first gave me the okay to exercise....started push ups on the stairs.....I will continue to walk, just take small ones and build them up day by day....
Hahaha well ....I wonder how many sizes they sell of those jeans....may need some big ones...if I put on more weight....by then!!
Yeah I agree on the model...she looks like not even a size 0 and the butt is probably fake....:coffeescreen: But I have already told myself I refuse to buy larger jeans than what I am wearing now....psyched up!!!
I am just glad that they offer nicer looking clothing....like how you can slip those pads in the knees...but wonder if there is double layers in the hip areas....

Am I getting the right link? "Caulking gun and Plus Size Bras" What the heck kind of woman are you? I mean you pic looks fine without your adding any caulking.

4R,
Those look pretty good for a woman biker. They bend so well and with all the knee padding, you could even be a roofer in your off-biking time.
Post some pics of you with them on when you get them.

Hi Raven...My ex-wife and I were talking about riding jeans, and she was talking about how women's riding pants just aren't that good looking, and she wants to balance style and safety.
I told her about these pants, but they don't look that easy to get domestically (and if you do, they're about $250 bucks).
She found a couple new items on ebay that she liked, and I thought I would pass it along:
ICON riding pants for women (not made of Kevlar, but does have reinforced knees, and is made of heavy denim with reinforced stitching)

The other was the Drayko Drift...These are pricer, but they are Kevlar jeans:

Good luck!

Thanks Squally...those look functional..... I may try one of those ....$250 bucks...but wondering if I get them and they don't fit and have to send them back ....cost of that and if I get decent customer service....dang!!! At least with ebay....it wouldn't be too bad and you have better chance of getting satisfaction if you use paypal....
RonK....yeah I thought the same time....did work on the chimney this year and have a little more to repair in the summer....and some minor stuff on roofing too ...when it gets hot enough.... Those would have come in handy! But I did wear my bike pants while up on the roof and got stuff all over them...stained them a little...I can see the mark, but I don't think anyone else would notice...
My other jeans are falling apart, all of them tear/rip at the belt loop, cause I pull all my jeans up with those...and they all rip ....sucks:frown:

My ex used to pull her jeans up like that all the time 4R. Find a way to pull them up otherwise lol. Then again, I have no hips so i just crank the belt tight as can be lol. Advantage of being a guy I guess. But 250 for pants...jesus they better be all kevlar and reinforced on the knees and hips.
