My mean green 2 stroke Kawi KDX 200! Zipties and a bit of gorilla tap make this bike what it is. With a FMF pipe, Acerbis hand guards, a race air filter, and some dunlops, this bike can be beat on. Function over form defines this bike, its no beauty queen but it always gets the job done and makes rides like a bat out of hell. I always thought 2 strokes were technology of the past, this thing is a torque monster though!

You'd get a much better photo if you turned the bike into the light source. For a really nice effect, wait until the sun drops behind the horizon. Then you get open sky, nice contrast, and usually a warm red tone w/ nice highlights on the chrome.

This is the bike I thought of when I thought "touring bike" -- all the bells, whistles, and trim. Besides, it's a HARLEY!

Use a flash if the sun shines on it. It helps.

That got me to thinking about the whole Beautiful thing. Like a definition? Is the beauty the bike? Does the scenery add a dimension to the bikes ardor? Are not the bugs part of that excitement? I guess beauty may simple mean buffed and polished (and a beautiful bike too like yours). Yet even a rat bike is beautiful in certain settings which goes against the above musings...

Dangit I'm rambling.

What it boils down to is your photo's location carries me back to anywhere but central Florida. And that is true beauty!

Thanks!
The newer models I don't much care for. They went to Fuel Injection which is not too bad in and of itself. But when they redesigned the fuel tank to get rid of the classic Speed Triple look tank indents and they got rid of the spoked wheels, well that just stunk!

I rode Cinnamon Girl out to Dansville NY via East Helena, Montana last September and this past June to Prescott, Arizona via Oceanside, California. Both CG and Vera Lynn (black one) handle like a dream. I don't know the line your dealer used to talk you out of one, but for the $3K I paid for CG used last July 31, 2007, it is simple hard to beat the capabilities and the reliability of these bikes.

And I have yet to install the big bore kits in them! (up them to 904cc). That'll happen when I need new rings. Heck Vera Lynn has close to 91K on her original clutch! I replaced CG's clutch at the 70K mile mark. And I used one that a friend of mine abandoned after he installed a big bore kit and went with a barnett clutch.

Awesome!
The FJR group does a covered bridge tour every fall in Vermont/New Hampshire. I have not seen the ones in PA. I saw on television that some of the covered bridges got washed away recently during the hurricane. Its good to know that there are so many still around.

I've always loved the look of Buells. There's just something sexy about a 45 v-twin in a sportbike frame. What color you going with?

I have it narrowed down to 3 colors:

1) Mopar Plum Crazy - http://www.topspeed.com/cars/dodge/2010-dodge-challenger-plum-crazy-ar80668.html
2) Mopar Electric Blue -http://www.meguiarsonline.com/forums/showthread.php?37551-2004-SRT-4-Electric-Blue-Detail
3) GM Synergy Green - https://www.facebook.com/pages/Synergy-Green-Camaro/126046007440683#!/photo.php?fbid=247763841935565&set=pu.126046007440683&type=1&theater

I plan on painting the tank, front fender and seat fairing one of the above colors. The frame, rear fender and bug shield/deflector will stay black.

I am also not going to put the factory type Buell decals on the tank... It's either gonna be without badging or the Buell Pegasus logo on each side of the tank. http://www.buellparts.net/content-product_info/product_id-1677/buell_pegasus_emblems_large.html

If funds and time permit (during the winter I spend quite a bit of my time hunting) I plan on pulling the header pipes and re-wrapping them in black rather than the white wraps on it now. (they look great when clean but it's murder to try an keep them that way)

He finnaly road it the other day. It was awesome, I had to hold him up, cause his feet are still about 4 inch's from the ground on both sides. I just stuck it in 3rd, gave him a little push and eased out the clutch and away he went.

It was so funny watching his head fly back the first couple of times that he hit the power band.

Beautiful. I love the look of the chrome piece under the seat; same for the other america you posted, really nice looking. What is it for?
Thanks. The chrome piece under the seat is the faux air cleaner cover. The real air cleaner is located under the saddle in the airbox. A common modification is to remove the airbox, brace the carbs, and slip K&N cone style filters on each carb. The first iteration of a kit for doing this mod was/is called the Freak. The Freak incorporated tabs that allowed the re-installation of the faux air filter covers as those covers give the bike a retro look. Vera Lynn has her airbox and the single, oem paper filter.
