I own a Yamaha 1100 cruiser and Id really like to replace the cheap plastic parts like the toolkit cover, fin covers, front fender etc with metal parts. Does anyone know where this can be done/bought for a relatively cheap price?

I also am looking into buying a more classic styled back and front fender, metal of coarse.

The dealership broke a piece of that "cheap" plastic chrome and it is going to cost me $125...if you find a cheap place let me know!!!:(

If they broke it why are you paying for it?? And yes poor wording haha, cheap in quality expensive in price.

Because they wouldn't admit to breaking it and if I find out that they may have over torqued those screws on the neutral switch....they will never touch my bike again~:(

To OP, I've thought about sanding the chrome plating off mine and just painting them black, I might cover them with black vinyl first to see what it will look like and if it will look ok.

As for getting new covers, yeah they are costly, ebay is your best bet there, just keep looking, they turn up here and there.
