Hi everyone! I'm curious about the vertical license plate mounts. I think they look pretty cool and was thinking about changing mine to vertical. I live in TN and have already checked with the Highway Patroll and they are legal in my state. I've been looking on eBay and I see that some have the tail light and some do not. I have a 2005 Yamaha V Star 650 Custom and I actually have my rear fender off my bike now because I just got it painted. But I was wondering if I got the vertical side mount without the tail light, then what about the plastic piece that is attached to the tail light that the license plate attached to? Won't that show? And how hard is it to rerun the wires if I got the mount with the tail light? Has anyone done it themselves? Does anyone know any websites with good information on how to install? If I put my fender back on now, will I have to take it off again to install the side mount even if I have to run the wires for the tail light to the side too?
I know these are a lot of questions but I just don't know that much about it. I haven't really found any good resources online either. And unfortunately I don't have any other biker friends to ask either. So if anyone can help me out with some answers or suggestions, I'd sure appreciate it :biggrin:
