Hey guys new to this forum just thought id put my story up.

Well i bought a wrecked 04 600rr from a guy for a first bike and figured it would be a good project. Priced everything out and it only cost me 700 to fix it after payin 2400 it didnt seem like a bad deal since i was gonna ride it and not sell it right away. Got it fixed up and was just waitin to save up some money to take the fairings for paint. I road it for about 2 months and then started doin wheelies, got decent at it so one day i headed to work down a side street it a small town wreved up let go of the clutch and poped up goin bout 30. Well an old guy in a brand new cadi didnt see me comin down the street and pulled out in front of me, only thing i had time to do was tap the brake wit my foot as i released the throttle. My bike went sideways, i went slidding down the road and i could hear my bike slidding and then BANG. I got up and it was almost completely under the cadilac. To top it off I wrecked right in front of a funeral home with about 30 people around. Everyone came running askin if i was ok as i picked my bike up and pushed it off the road. My neighbor happened to be there who also carried my insurance on the bike through progressive and i also only had liability stupid me i know. He asked if i wanted to call the police to report and me with my learners permit respectfully declined. So the guy i ran into was actually the dad of my neighbor who ran the insurance company, I got off with paying for the repairs on the car from a local body shop it only cost $650 thank god!

Well It took me about 8 months before i was able to save enough money to fix it, and the second time it ended up costing $1800 but i road it for another year and sold it for 5500. I recently bought 2 wrecked 07 600rrs to fix and part out and i cant get enough of em.

Thanks guys

Well i guess congrats but your stunt sounds stupid. I'm not sure wheelies are appropriate for public streets. Be safe.

Wow.

strike1- buying a wrecked bike

strike2- wheelies on public streets (endangerment and dangerous)

strike3- getting in a crash

strike4- selling said bike (wrecked twice)

strike5- restarting the process

strike6- riding a bike without a license

That is a lot of strikes. I don't mean to sound like an ass, but maybe you should go through a rider safety course before you EVER get on a bike again.

Well obiously i learned my lesson the first time. and i wouldnt say buying a wrecked bike by any means is a bad thing. Im sure im not the only guy on here to love adrenaline and push things to the edge

I push things to the edge myself, but I don't do it on public streets. There is a reason REAL stunt riders find closed lots or warehouse yards that are shut down to do their tricks.

I keep my racing to the drag strip in order to keep the damage to other people and their property to a minimum.

I agree with u. I wouldn't ever make the mistakes I did before I'm only 23 and what I did 4 or 5 years ago was pretty stupid. I'm not a bad rider by any means, just didn't use my brain like a lot of guys do

I have a question...why did your bike go sideways? You just put your foot down on the rear brake and it went sideways?
