Since I got my Intruder in November, it's been hard to ride in consistently because of the weather. Now it may just be me being paranoid, and the fact this is my 1st big v twin...

I have noticed at higher RPMs while accelerating between gears, and when im acceleration up around 80-95mph, I can feel the bike vibrating. Its not the handlebars....its not tires or anything. i know because i'll clutch the engine, and the vibration disappears. I asked the previous owner (friends dad) he said the bike was smooth, and never had an issue up to 90mph. I asked his 2 sons (my friends) they both took the bike out, said it was normal "v twin vibrations". So we are thinking dad saying "it was smooth" was just used to this feeling. They have an '04 Intruder, which they say vibrates, but also all over the road at those speeds. Mine vibrates, but smooth, if that makes sense. Again, I never had a bike this size.

Can anyone else give me their 2 cents on what they think, especially those with this bike?

(looks up to check which forum we're in ... not the bar ... DARN)

I'll bet it's normal. My V-star starts to vibrate around the same speed.

mine's only an 800cc bike, but yes, they are right...it's normal vibration for a v-twin...mine does the same thing, the bike starts to sort of vibrate..pull in the clutch and the vibration goes away

i noticed if I have the throttle cranked to accelerate, its got a good shake to it....but if I level off to cruise the vibration tapers off.
