Since my question about Icon pants didn't get any response, how about some opinions on the Olympia Airglide 3 Pants.
Primarily interested in the mesh version, but comments on the regular Airglide 3 pants would be appreciated as well.

CharlesMy bad.
The Airglide 3 is the mesh pant from Olympia. There is no "regular" Airglide 3 pant.

I just got the pants and jacket have not used them yet due to the stinking snow and ice but the quality seems excellent and the price was reasonable.

$250 for a jacket and $200 for pants! Yikes!!!!
That's getting into the leathers price range.
Originally I looked at the Olympia gear and cast it aside as being too expensive.
Since then, I have talked to a friend that has probably logged more miles than anyone I know.
One of his trips was from Arizona through Nova Scotia and back on only two lane roads. No Interstate roads were used at all.
Anyway, he was a motorcycle gear representative for years and still does a lot of trade shows with his wife.
I called him and he immediately said Olympia without a doubt in his mind.
1. He can afford anything he wants.
2. He has worn leathers as well.
3. He and his wife usually ride coast to coast on 2 lane roads each year on an unfaired BMW, and they both love the Olympia gear.
4. His comment, "Pay the price, complain once, buy the cheap stuff, complain every time you use it."
5. My comment is still Yikes!!!!
6. Tomorrow I'm going to my dealer to check the pants out. Hey, it's only money.

After a trip to my dealer today, I have decided the Olympia Airglide 3 pants meet my wants/needs.
Gonna be a long winter so I need to continue to run this in the ground.
Black, Pewter/Grey, Silver are the color choices.
Silver seems like it would be cooler, but might tend to show dirt and bug splatter worse than the Black or Pewter.
I do like the silver.
It doesn't seem to be at all gaudy and might be a help in being more visible to the cell-phone users that seem to be after me.
Anyone have experiences with various colors they care to share?
As an aside for all you guys/gals that have a spouse/companion that complains about what you spend on your hobbies.
I mentioned to my wife that I wasn't sure what color I really wanted.
With typical feminine logic her response was "Just get one of each".

I looked at the hi vis colors but they were just to gaudy so I went with the pewter silver jacket and the black pants. There is a lot of opinions for and against the hi vis stuff and having worked road maintenance I am convinced drivers are drawn to it like moths to a flame, to many close calls with cages taking out the cones and signs. Another opinion out there is that a very colorful helmet works better than dayglow clothing for being seen by drivers bent on riders destruction.

My leather jackets are black and a dark maroon, not colors that jump out at you at all.
My textile jackets are bright red with some white and black accents, but still not terribly eye catching.
My helmets are solid silver and solid black. The silver one is the one I wear by far the most.
I had never considered the "moth to a flame" possibility, but it does seem that people tend to go where they look.

Until a scientific study is performed by some group actually knowledgable about motorcycling it would appear that all you will ever get is opinions and "anecdotal evidence". All I can say is I've ridden for 19 years in the Baltimore-DC area, a place where driver courtesy is 99% non-existant, stop signs are merely "advisories", yield means "cut you off and force you over", and lane changes are at least half completed before any look occurs, if there is a look at all. Generally there was always one instance of something occurring that "got my attention" on every ride, and usually every 2-3 rides there was an issue that required solid braking, evasive maneuvers, etc.
The last year I've commuted to work and pleasure-ridden in an Olympia day-glo vest. Yeah, its bright. No, it ain't stylish. But the number of people turning in front of me this past year - zero. People failing to yield entering the road - zero (my gawd, they actually YIELD!!). People changing lanes into me - one car started a move and immediately returned to their lane. Coincidence? Planets all aligned? Who's to say? My unscientific opinion is the day-glo has a positive effect. I don't think it makes me invincible, I won't trust my life only to it, and it doesn't help me pick up women. :-) But I did add a day-glo mesh jasket to my riding wardrobe for the hot days. We will see if the coming year is as good as the last.
