did anyone attend the Harley Bike Week last year?

I live in the area, it wasnt as big this past year because of all the helmet laws and such, but being a business owner here, we're hoping it goes back to the way it used to be

mazada25 the helmet law is gone Helmet law over turned (http://www.blackbikeweek.us/2010/06/myrtle-beach-helmet-law-canceled/), but most of the other laws are still in effect.

I went last year and stayed in North Myrtle Beach and had a good time, but a lot of rider refuse to come back.

Sorry to hear about how this is affecting you business, the government really screwed yall over.

A long time ago when it was fun. It use to be the Myrtle Beach all Harley Drag races and sponsored by a multitude of dealerships namely Ray Price to name one if I remember correctly.

Since the town fathers have thrown down the gautlet in Myrtle Beach I wouldn't waste my time or money. There are simply to many other motorcycle related things to do. And I have never been one to stay or spend time where I wasn't welcome.

Its an individual choice. I don't think those who attend it are wrong or those who don't attend it are wrong. And many riders are standing on both sides of that issue.

I agree 100%. Why go and spend money where they don't want bikers? Too many other venues to pursue. I personally like "Thunder Beach" in Panama City and they welcome bikers twice a year!

I heard recently that there was talk of the bike weeks moving into NC. Any truth to those rumors? Not that it would be any more accessible to me, I'm just curious... LOL

Oh, and that Black Bike Week must be REALLY good, because this is how it reads on the website:

"Black Bike Week 2012 - May 25, 2011 to May 29, 2012 Myrtle Beach, SC"

A full YEAR of bike week. Hmm...don't know if I could take THAT much time off... LOL!!
