Kathy seems to be doing everything she can to encourage women ridership ... first by moddin' out ladies' bikes to fit, then by morphing her own WildKaT model, then by propelling lady riders into the national spotlight with Martha Stewart's "Dreamers into Doers" contest ... and she's doing it again ... on Nov. 1 she posted a new contest "I Ride Because .... ".

I'm pretty sure they are always at Daytona - no clue about Sturgis. Worth checking out if you do those events.

I know there is this group called Women on Wheels based out of Lincoln. Any one have any thoughts on that?

WOW is a national organization. Our local chapter closed before I got my bike, but I was going to check it out.

That is something that a lot of people don't think about. I had the front of my bike lowered so I could stand over it and touch the ground on both sides. And I am 5' 8"!!!! That is totally awesome. Oh and ...

"I Ride because I love the thrill of death" D: That sounds wrong maybe.

Oh I know, me too! People around here are used to seeing me around; but going a half hour north today, I got TONS of double-takes from people in cages and on foot. Hilarious! LOL
