I went out for less than an hour tonight, and dang near froze my "girl bits" off. It was 65, not cold by any means - but dang, it's a whole different story at 45 MPH in a textile Scorpion EXO jacket!
Any thoughts on a warm riding jacket? I'm seriously considering the heated gloves and jacket liner I saw online. LOL I found a nice looking Scorpion Elektra jacket online but it's a closeout at that site and no longer available in my size.
Thanks!
Check out Fox Creek Leather. I have their Jacket, Chaps and gloves. AWESOME! If it gets REALLY cold, try Gerbings Heated Gloves.

My Castle Riding jacket has the winter liner, and it has yet to fail keeping me warm during 39 degree night rides.

Do you want leather or textile? With the liner in, my leather jacket is SUPER warm.

At this point I will take whatever keeps me warmest. LOL Those heated gloves and liners are expensive - I probably won't ride year-round (until I move to FL, hehe) but I do want to ride as much as I can!

I have already been wearing my leather coat with it liner...it is a really heavy leather....nothing gets through it...have had it for just over 3 years now.
In early morning hours, I wear my gauntlets and lined chaps, if it warms up enough I can take the chaps off or just take the lining out, and change to a lighter pair of gloves...
I have heated grips...Oxfords! The bomb!!

I actually do have a leather jacket! Jim found it in the garage today! The only problems are:
1. It's pink.
2. It's a guess as to what brand it is.
3. It's pink.
4. It's almost as heavy as the Ninja.
5. It's pink.
6. It dang near chokes me if I zip up all the way.
7. It's pink.
8. It's constricting, I can barely move in it.
9. Did I mention that IT'S PINK?!
But I do have it, if I NEED it. I'll be shopping online after I get my connection issues resolved (posted about that in the general forum). Still.....it's pink.....

Try Girlgearapparel.com Wife like the one with the leopard panel
May be pricey, but for a high quality jacket that will keep you warm and isn't pink.... might be worth it. Maybe just lots of layers until you can invest in a cold weather jacket?

You need a jacket with a zip out liner

Don't forget to shop on eBay. I bought a used leather jacket, tan and lined (not zip out though), and really warm and comfortable. Slightly worn and darkened in a couple of spots, but does the job fabulously. Dressed in layers underneath and took the MSF course in some rain, some high wind and even a little hail. Stayed warm for both days of riding and the temp was high 30's and 40ish. Coat cost me $30.

ROFLMAO. You're too funny!!! When my youngest daughter took the MSF course the coach kept telling her to buy PINK to ride in. That's all she could talk about after the course - how he singled her out and harped on her to wear pink. She was FURIOUS!!!! (lol... and I don't blame her!) Seriously... PINK???

I just throw a large sweater over my jacket when it gets cold, and if it's really cold I put on a jacket over the sweater, plus wear a sweater, long sleeve, t-shirt, and tank top underneath.
