Finding the gear that fits the best....
So far for me it is Joe Rocket coats, the sleeves are long, the body of the jacket is longer, it has lots of vents, great colors too! I have put 15K on my pink/black one and washed it over and over! Still looks good!
What else have you bought that you enjoy wearing?

I've just been wearing my Lee jeans. I have a Scorpion EXO jacket that fits well, and I use Fly Racing gloves or Craftsman Mechanics gloves. I have a Shoei helmet but I'm not overly fond of it - I prefer my Altura Vega helmet.

LOVING the Shift Silhouette riding jeans. Comfy, cute, fit well. No hard armor but the seat & legs are lined with Kevlar.
River Road "Dame" jacket--looks nice, fits OK, but the collar pokes my throat sometimes. minor annoyance.
HD mesh jacket--forget the model name--I was between sizes and got the larger, which I wish I hadn't, but otherwise PERFECT for riding on warm days. Great fit & venting, with pockets for armor & hydration pak.
That's all I got for now. Helmet is a HD KBC that matches the mesh jacket, whistles a bit, but fairly light and fits well.

My problem with gear...the list goes on. Mainly there is too little out there for us. Riding jeans for example. I have a pair of FS with the kevlar, they are mens jeans. Don't get me wrong, they fit fine but would still like a ladies jean. These have been on sale for about $45 try to find a ladies jean on sale...not! Seems most ladies jeans are for looks and the ones that are for safety are over $100 then you have shipping on top of that.
Leather pants....all the ladies leather pants were meant for some slinky model to wear them and they look the part. I wanted some thik leather pants with armor in the knees at least. Had to buy Tour master Decker mens pants. They are great!
I wanted a mixed leather/mesh jacket that really would protect. Shouldn't seem too hard to find right? Good luck with that one. I found a Joe Rocket mens jacket that was awesome!!! but the small is too big for me:)
I was seriously considering at one time opening my own shop with a lot of women's selection in it.

PLEASE DO!
I have my Castle Street Gear. Pink and black mesh armored riding jacket and gloves. I have Verga riding boots. But I still lack when it comes to pants. I would like a nice fitting pair of mesh armored ones, especially since it is getting colder here in Nebraska but it is difficult to find them. I would like to find a pair in stores so I can try them on, but very rarely do I find a store that has anything for pants for women other that a small supply of chaps.
Some day I dream of getting a leather armored jacket, pink. I found on at the Harley store in Omaha but they were $400+. I can't afford that being a college kid right now.
I have an all black xs HJC full-face helmet (fits great!), but this spring I would like to get a new one.
I wouldn't mind rocking this one! (http://www.helmetcity.com/page/HC/PROD/HJC-fullface-helmets/hjc-cl-16-hellion-pink)
But iamjustifyd, I completely agree, there is too little out there for us.

After a bunch of searching, I got a pair of Draggin' jeans - the modern fit. I've only worn them twice so far (and my bike died) but they seem pretty decent and heavy duty. True, they're $100 plus shipping, but if you figure how many times you'll wear them, and compare it to the cost of skin grafts, its not so bad:biggrin:
Also found a womens x-element jacket thats textile with armor that fits well (black, orange, white).

Riding jeans for example.
You didn't like the shift? Or are you wanting one with full armor rather than kevlar patches?

I am an admitted gear junkie and wish i could afford everything. It's odd, cuz i'm really not that into clothes otherwise. I have a pink/black/white leather & textile Teknic jacket, a leather black & yellow vanson (with vents & reflective), and a Dainese mesh for summer. I have some vanson leather perf pants that actually look great, (they were a deal, 40% off!), but usually wear draggin jeans. I haven't found boots that I love. I have a couple of pair of Harley boots because they help me reach the ground, but they don't fit great.

I love just wearing my slim jeans ...usually with my chaps, cause I get cold all the time...but I may get a nice pair of the kevlar jeans...since I do ride a lot...but do you guys get hot in those? Cause in the summer when it is 96F out I don't want to burn up!!! But maybe they would be nice to wear in the fall!!!
I just found a belt the other day...I had worn it once for a halloween outfit...thought I would never wear it again...it has a like three or four rows of the ringed holes ....looks bikerish! especially with my slim jeans and my black leather coat...get to wear that gear again this weekend!
Supposed to be high 70s!!!!
I think it would be fun to have a store like that!!!:icon_cool:

They don't get hot at all and I wear the kevlar jeans all the time. I have a pair of Draggin Jeans and they great jeans but do not come in regular fitting anymore, only modern fit. I can't get knee/shin armor under them. I like to wear the armor if going on the interstate for a long ride. I wear the chaps sometimes with the kevlar jeans, got a thing about my butt meeting concrete:)
I like the Shift jeans but $118 compared to $48 for the FS on sale. I guess more selection for the guys means more to choose from and they sell less of a certain item so it goes on sale.

I bought this jacket last year, I like it pretty well. Thick and heavy. I had to buy a size larger than I normally wear. I also have FS textile pants with knee pads. I had Shift Fuel boots that I absolutely love!! They are mens but they fit great and I can wear them all day. I have Joe Rocket mesh jacket with all the armour, it's wine color and the first one I bought:) I also have a MotoPort jacket that I got last year, it's hot but I've heard great things about it and it seems like it would hold great in a get off. I need some new gloves

I like that jacket, but I can't wear a lot of white....my Joe Rocket coat has a little white on it and it is filthy from long rides I take, all sorts of stuff on it...a lot of oil stuff....I have to wash it again today...so it will be ready for the weekend in case I decide to take off again for Friday and Sat....
I am going to check into the kevlar jeans ...
The gloves I use now are Olympia....they hold up pretty good...around 10K then they start lookin a little ragged....they have gel in the palm...I think it helps on those long trips. They also have vents. Even with the heated grips they have held up very well.:icon_cool:

On that same site they have that jacket in black. I lost my first pair of gloves and bought a pair real quick and I don't think they grip as well as the pair so I'll be getting a new pair soon.

Yeah my jeans aren't hot at all. They were a bit pricey but I got a decent deal on them (I work at a shop).
That's a nice looking jacket!
We have a white leather jacket here that I really really want ... it is an off white or cream color with orange piping and orange stripes down the sleeves. Don't remember the brand. I love it but I don't want to try to keep white clean :(

My problem w/ gear is none of it fits right. My shoulders are to wide for female cuts, my torso is to short for male cuts. So I am screwed no matter what.
I found a 3rd Street Jacket that fits pretty dang well. Enough room in the shoulders and hips that it doesn't strangle me. But not to much sleeve length.
I've just flat given up that I am ever going to find that "perfect jacket".

Have you tried Fieldsheer? There body of their coats are slightly shorter. All my jackets are large on me...but I prefer that ....so I can wear more underneath if I get cold....I have to have the larger ones for my shoulders too...Nexgen fits nice too...in the shoulders especially...

I am thankful for my jacket.
This weekend I was on the interstate and the car in front of me, swept up a blue piece of material (plastic?). It hit me flat sided on my chest.
It hurt, but not as much as it would have if I was wearing a skimpy, low cut tshirt.

After reading what everyone has I want some new clothes. The only problem is I shop online. There is a HD shop here in town but I hate their prices plus about the only thing I see in the store are the jackets & vest for protective riding. I also dont own a Harley so I dont want to go around wearing Harley stuff. I would like to find a jacket for the summer time, what I have is for the cold weather. Do they make a lite weight protective jacket for the summer months? I also need to do some research on jeans the Dragon pants I have are pretty warm for the summer months too.

i went on a chilly ride today and the only part of me that was REALLY cold was my fingers. I had on my snowboarding baselayers, a t shirt, the Shift pants, a fleece and my leather coat with liner zipped in. some warmer gloves with gauntlets would have been perfect. some chaps would be nice too probably, above 11,000 ft my legs did get a little chilly too!

I agree with you about HD and being over priced. And about not wanting to rep it, because you don't own one.
Though they have some really cute leather jackets.
Definitely check out motorcycle superstore, I have had good luck finding things there.
