Beware the ignition

I just repaired one of these and getting ignition parts is tough.
The coil is OK as it is used on other twins but the CDI is quite
rare as it is unique to the Hondamatic. The stator is also
unique and is extremely hard to find. It has extra coils in it
for rpm and advance and has a history of failure. It can be rebuilt
at RM Stator in Quebec. ($215.00)

Good Luck,

Bat

I had a Hawk like it up till a few years ago. I never had a problem getting parts but it sometime took the dealer a little longer to find them through their network. Of course, that was a few years ago and I'm sure they aren't any easier to find now days. This was pretty much pre ebay so that might help. You might also be able to find a donor bike someone has you could swipe parts off of.
