Six year sentence, with two years credit for time served. She will be out in late 2018/early 2019 if she stays on "good behavior"

Who said justice? At least she did not get the probation that her lawyer (whom, in the video, looked as though he wanted nothing to do with that case) was asking for.

I wouldn't call that justice either. A few years for ending someone's life? Really?

Garage
Lady Justice wears a Blindfold

Exhibit A: "Unbalanced" behavior
Quote:
According to court documents obtained by CBS affiliate KFMB, two different men requested restraining orders against Jackson in 2012. In one, the man, who describes Jackson as "a friend who I have had relations with," stated that Jackson called him 200 times and sent 100 text messages allegedly threatening to kill him or hurt herself and tell police he had done it.
- CBS News
Exhibit B: It's not the first time
Quote:
One ex said Jackson threatened to run him over with her car during an argument and then proceeded to drive at him in a parking lot, according to his restraining order application. He said he had to push off her hood and jump over a fence to get away.
- San Diego Union Tribune
Exhibit C: Her reputation precedes her
Quote:
Erica Lopez, who called herself a former friend of Jackson’s, said Tuesday she was not surprised by the incident. She said she has been on the receiving end of such behavior before, including threats to hurt her.

“All she really does is terrorize the community,” Lopez said after the arraignment. “… She’s hurt a lot of people. It sucks someone’s life had to be taken because of this crazy girl. She needs help.”
- San Diego Union Tribune
Exhibit D: Unfit to drive
Quote:
Her driver’s license was suspended for two years, from January 2013 to 2015, for “lack of knowledge or skill,” according to the Department of Motor Vehicles
- San Diego Union Tribune
Exhibit E: Damning charges
Quote:
Jackson is accused of pushing the bike some 300 feet until both Buob and the motorcycle went down.
- San Diego Union Tribune
This looks to me like a culmination of violent and narcissistic behavior that has gone on for years and only now has resulted in the loss of life. What we know of her past shows a lack of self-control, persistent psychotic behavior, and a willingness to not only make, but carry-through with deadly threats. This is not an isolated incident and it isn't out of character. She's tried this before and the people that know her even agree she's capable of it.

If the charges laid against her are true, this was a malicious and intentional act which she made no attempt to stop.

She wanted to hit him. She wanted to hurt him.

The only thing I find more disgusting is the way she has conducted herself after the accident and in the court room. I can't prove it, but I don't think those tears are out of remorse. She doesn't care what's happened to that rider. She regrets the consequences she's facing. After all the damage she's done, the only one she feels sorry for is herself.

This wasn't an accident, it was a murder. The sentence isn't an injustice, it's a tragedy.
