The Vintage Classic starts this weekend at Road America

The American Historic Racing Motorcycle Association (AHRMA) Vintage Classic begins June 8 at Road America in Elkhart Lake, Wisconsin. Fans of classic and vintage racing machines will be able to watch a large variety of motorcycle racing.

Motorcycles from the 1920's to the 1970's will race along the four-mile track. Superbikes from the 70's and 80's will also have featured race events.

Road America has a variety of 14 turns, changes in track elevation, as well as wide, high-speed straights with ample room to pass. The course is laid out over 640 acres and built to allow easy viewing of the action.

Three off-road courses will feature vintage motocross races, cross-country races, and observed trials.

A vintage swap meet will be held to allow enthusiasts to sell their goods and maybe find that rare part that they have been looking for. Special guest activities and demo rides featuring the Can-Am Spyder will be held nearby.

Camping will be available for $20 for those budget-minded riders staying the weekend. Friday's ticket prices are $20 with a $30 price on Saturday and Sunday. The entire weekend price is $40 if tickets are purchased in advance through the website.
