You sound old.

Also, there is nothing in the definition of graffiti that means it's illegal. You could hire an artist to put graffiti on the side of your building because it looks nice.

That isn't exactly true. Many citys have areas where it is legal to paint what you want where you want, some require prior approval, while others you just go do what you do.

My bike with 12" of Snow and the picture was taken less than 10 minutes ago....

The hardest part about getting this picture was going through my stack of CDs to find it....

I had to ride 77 miles home from work... in the rain, then go into the crawl space above the garage to dig through my old CDs to find it. Then I had to scan and enlarge the pic before printing.... I tried to take the picture with just the CD case but the reflection off the plastic cover washed the picture out and it was way too small to tell what it was....

Yes, there is barbed wire on the fence. It is reinforced with the poles because of the gate.

I have to say that I simply cannot find any! We've got the sex shops and the crime but not the gangs. I could ride by the rail road tracks I guess and snap a pic as a train rolls by. Usually the rail-cars are scribbled up.

Now there is some nice Graffiti in Los Angeles. Maybe the wife will let me roll out West? O-town (Orlando FL) I'm sure has some. But who wants to ride where tolls are everywhere! You'll get your challenge met even if I have to buy a rattle can! (Not)

That's not graffiti . . .

I readily concede that I'm jerking chains with my submission here. It's not really graffiti either, not technically.

What you're showing is building decoration, a mural in the strictest sense. Graffiti is defined as "unauthorized inscription" . . . "a defacement."

Quote:
Graffiti (singular: graffito; the plural is used as a mass noun) is the name for images or lettering scratched, scrawled, painted or marked in any manner on property. Graffiti is any type of public markings that may appear in the forms of simple written words to elaborate wall paintings. Graffiti has existed since ancient times, with examples dating back to Ancient Greece and the Roman Empire.[1]

In modern times, paint, particularly spray paint, and marker pens have become the most commonly used graffiti materials. In most countries, marking or painting property without the property owner's consent is considered defacement and vandalism, which is a punishable crime. Graffiti may also express underlying social and political messages and a whole genre of artistic expression is based upon spray paint graffiti styles. Within hip hop culture, graffiti has evolved alongside hip hop music, b-boying, and other elements.[2] Unrelated to hip-hop graffiti, gangs use their own form of graffiti to mark territory or to serve as an indicator of gang-related activities.

Controversies that surround graffiti continue to create disagreement amongst city officials/law enforcement and writers who wish to display and appreciate work in public locations. There are many different types and styles of graffiti and it is a rapidly developing art form whose value is highly contested, reviled by many authorities while also subject to protection, sometimes within the same jurisdiction.
Noooooooo . . . Harley's DO rule . . .
